Gina Durant

As founder of Life Cycle Doulas and the Buffalo Doula Collective, Gina has supported over 200 families in Buffalo and Western New York as a birth and postpartum doula. Her own experiences with childbirth inspired her to enter the doula world, where she believes every family deserves respectful, personalized, evidence-based care. Driven by a passion to elevate doula professionalism, Gina created the Life Cycle Doulas training and certification program in 2014. 

As a trained facilitator with the Centering Healthcare Institute and an Evidence Based Birth®️ instructor, Gina offers group birth planning sessions to families seeking support. She is also a co-leader of the Western New York chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) and provides a VBAC support group to assist families seeking a vaginal birth after cesarean. Through the WNY Doula Support Group, Gina offers a sense of community, continuing education, and guidance for local doulas.

In 2023, Gina moved to Derby, NY, on Lake Erie, where she established Salto, a training and retreat space. At Salto, she hosts birth and postpartum training, continuing education events, and babymoon retreats.
